Success in estate agency is generated through people, and our people are a passionate, enthusiastic, professional team, all of whom are committed to providing the best possible customer service to clients. Our staff are experts in the local area, meaning they understand exactly how the local market works and are able to match the perfect buyer or tenant to your property.
I have now been an estate agent for over 20 years in and around the Okehampton area and have gained valuable experience in the local market. My role involves covering all aspects of the business, be this sales or lettings. Driving the business forward with new ideas for marketing and brand awareness are something that I look after and enjoy. I have successfully worked with a number of developers on their sites from start to finish ranging from single plots to multi unit sites. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family, coaching junior rugby and getting away for the weekend when and if the sun is shining!
Following what has been a busy few years building our business I am continuing to look after the sales and rentals sector whilst heading up the administration side of the company. Day to day tasks can vary from negotiating sales to managing accounting issues that may arise from running a business. Away from the office myself and my husband are avid rugby followers, be that watching the Exeter Chiefs or my son who plays for Okehampton Rugby Club.
Although I am a silent partner in the business, my role is to oversee any legal matters that may arise and oversee any operational issues. Having a long established career in the corporate world and having overseen a number of large business transactions within my current position for a blue chip company I help to look after the logistics and future growth of the company. Time away from work is spent with my family and managing the local, junior football team.
Senior Lettings Negotiator
I have worked for GSS since leaving education and have worked up from an apprentice to overseeing the daily running of the rental portfolio. My days are made up of paying rents, dealing with deposits and other general rental matters that may arise. As we have one of the largest local portfolios of rental properties in the area my day at work can be pretty busy. Out of work I enjoy fitness and relaxing with friends and my partner.
Working for GSS for a number of years I have seen the business grow and adapt in an ever changing market. Within the office I enjoy helping tenants to find a home that is suitable for their needs, I also work closely with Charlotte dealing with inventories and other administration work that is involved in the management of the rental portfolio. Time spent away from work is made up of helping my husband run a successful building company and spending quality time with the family.
With years of experience in a customer service role within the banking industry I really enjoy the role of a senior sales negotiator and find that with my local knowledge and skillset it can make the job of placing a property to a person come true. Its very rewarding when you can help someone realise their dream. Moving house or selling a property for the first time can be a daunting experience, I hope that I can help with this process so that it becomes a joy rather than a nightmare. Out of work I enjoy holidays overseas, socialising and walking my two dogs on the moors.
Following several years of working for a regional agency and latterly a well reputed agency in Exeter I decided to join GSS as they are a smaller company that can offer a personal service to their landlords and tenants. Away from work life is equally as busy with a young family and a house to renovate!
With a proven track record in the property sector and customer service roles, GSS is a great place to work as I get to work closely with all of our customers that buy and sell with GSS. I specialise in sales chasing and have close working relationships with many of the local solicitors. Away from work life revolves around my young family and our horses.
